This Product Specialist will be responsible for QIAGEN MDx products, main responsible will be managing the promotion and sales of QIAGEN Personalized Healthcare / Companion Diagnostics (CDx) products across all customer classes in conjunction with sales force.
This role ensures optimization of product messaging and implementation of the corporate strategic and resulting tactical plans in the achievement of own budget attainment.
This position has an understanding of how to leverage, to the benefit of the organization, market dynamics across various segments, and the major funding bodies in the personalized healthcare space.
The Specialist tracks budget achievement, tracks lost business, identifies and understands market trends, monitors CRM system compliance, and drives all initiatives, ensuring excellent execution.
This position works effectively with regional marketing, technical, sales and distributors support for maximum revenue generation.
Drive expansion of Personalized Healthcare / Companion Diagnostics (CDx) across all customer classed in conjunction with the Area and Inside Sales sales forces.
Implement Company strategy through specific territory plans and sales teams.
Meet or exceed sales targets. Increase sales of all QIAGEN products by managing all sales functions i.e consumables / specialists / instrumentation and developing tactical plans to maximize revenues.
Monitor and manage sales and expense budgets. Engage in reimbursement negotiations.
Hold responsibility for the development / agreement and monitoring of annual sales targets, key performance indicators and revenue forecasts.
Identify and qualify leads in cooperation with field sales & distributors. Help develop marketing plans
Lead regional Pharma co-commercialization projects to promote CDx. Develop key opinion leaders and key pathology accounts.
Work with regional KOL and oncologists on assays for patient advocacy. Support physician education.
Engage and train regional sales force, make joint visits with sales reps, and support the sales cycle as required.
Organize meetings and coordinate communication channels to ensure effective communication across business units. Maintain and develop relationships with key customers.
Manage product and update launches including training of trainers and toolbox for training, work with Marketing Centers of Excellence to produce marketing and technical literature on time and in budget
Develop and maintain a pipeline of well qualified opportunities to meet and exceed all assigned business objectives and target
Bachelor degree or above (Molecular biology or oncology desired)
5+ years of relevant experience
Good presentation skills necessary for customer interaction
Experience of using Salesforce.com or related CRM would be plus.
