Qualcomm has an opening for an experienced Power Management IC Software Application Engineer. The job involves working closely with partners and customers of Qualcomm with all aspects of embedded software and systems development by focusing on power and battery management.
Training, assisting customers with software design, integration, development, system debugging, handling customer Q&A, and interfacing closely with internal developers are some of the key activities in this position.
Some travel for on-site customer support may be required. Minimum Qualifications *Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
Preferred Qualifications 6 to 12 years of academic or industry experience in the following : -Experience in C / C++ / Assembly programming, systems knowledge or background applicable to Power Management (Battery charging, Gauging, Voltage Regulations, etc)-Software debugging skills on embedded real time operating systems or Android system-Software device driver development experience, testing experience-Prior experience with portable hand-held devices and technical support for customers desirable-Preference to candidates with experience in developing power management software on embedded platforms-Experience in using debug tools like JTAG debugger, oscilloscopes, electric loaders -Expertise in interacting with cross-functional software and hardware teams-Excellent communication, interpersonal, writing and presentations skills
