  • The Quality Assurance Engineer shall provide quality support to assigned production operations to insure the integrity of components and products produced by those operations.
  • The individual will aggressively drive quality improvement efforts in assigned area with goal of achieving zero defect performance and support process improvement and problem-solving efforts with focus on protecting and improving product quality.

  • The Quality Assurance Engineer shall work to maintain Quality Management System (IATF 16949)
  • The Quality Assurance Engineer should make efforts to reach or to maintain top class of Customer Quality System (HMC Quality 5-star & GM BIQS)
  • KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Oversees integrity of product quality for assigned area through participation as integral part of manufacturing team.
  • Drives and champions quality improvement efforts.
  • Provides expert analysis, guidance and support to Production in Process Improvement activities, including effective use of Problem-Solving tools / techniques and statistical analysis.
  • Responsible for New Product Qualification, and verification of changes to current product.
  • Through the application of APQP, supports the external customers in New Product Introduction.
  • Insures that internal customer needs for Control Systems are met in a timely and functional manner.
  • Results for this position will be measured by improvements to Customer Satisfaction and Internal Scrap rate.
  • Optimizes Process Capability on significant characteristics through effective application of statistical analysis techniques and training of Production in Problem-Solving.
  • Applies knowledge of Inspection Equipment and Techniques to provide timely data usable for informed decision-making.
  • Utilizes analytical skill sets to implement root cause analysis and provide recommendations for corrective action.
  • Responsible for internal or external audit to reach or maintain top class Quality Management System.
  • Monitor field claim status and investigate warranty returns from each customer.
  • Performs field action if applicable.
  • Health & Safety : Responsible for completing required safety training, reporting and correcting any unsafe practices as appropriate, completing work activities in a safe manner, and complying with safety and health requirements for respective position.
